    Jam Filled Toronto is looking for a Producer who will coordinate the efforts of the creative leadership of artists and production staff.  This role is a unique opportunity to be a part of this feature quality series combining CG & 2D elements with a look that has never been done before. This role creates and executes the overall strategy and production plan, and oversees the master schedule.  The Producer contributes to the development and improvement of the production workflow.  This role is also the primary liaison between the crew and the client.

    Responsibilities

    • Deliver the highest quality production on time and budget, motivating and creating an environment conducive to achieving quotas and artistic achievements
    • Coordinate the efforts of a team of artists and production staff with assistance from Production Manager, starting in pre-production through the delivery of the final product
    • Manage and ensure that pipeline development and asset development is on track
    • Create and implement a complexity review process and strategy to be used in production
    • Monitor productivity levels in each production department and review individual artist productivity with appropriate department leadership
    • Oversee resource and time management of production crew and artistic talent
    • Using data provided by the Production Support Team, look well ahead to ensure that weekly quotas, individual department milestones, and inventory expectations are met
    • Strategize with Production Support Team and Senior Management to resolve any production and/or inventory issues
    • Identify and problem solve any potential issues with regard to: obstacles, roadblocks, and conflicts
    • Communicate and proactively identify potential production and crew issues to the Supervising Producer
    • Partner with HR, Staffing and Training to coordinate the technical requirements of recruiting, hiring and training the artistic and production teams
    • Assist with additional duties as required

    Qualifications

    This will be your jam if you have:

    • 3+ years in a Producer role preferably with prior feature film experience
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of management
    • Demonstrated ability to establish priorities and multi-task efficiently within a high-pressure environment while meeting strict deadlines

    Our Toronto Studio is looking for a Production Manager who responsible for managing a project on a big picture level and for providing extensive support and guidance to more junior team members to ensure a smooth and successful production.

    Responsibilities

    You’ll get to:

    • Support Producer in coordinating the efforts of a team of production staff and artists, starting in pre-production through the delivery of the final project
    • Work with Producer and other Production Staff to ensure that overall production scheduling and budget requirements are met within assigned department(s) and that production staff are working within established workflow and toolset
    • Look ahead to ensure that weekly quotas, department milestones and inventory expectations will be met
    • Assist in the resolution of any production and/or inventory issues and assist in managing any related impact on the budget, schedule and overtime, and flag issues to the Producer
    • Contribute strategic problem solving ideas
    • Perform frequent walk-arounds to check in with crew, and ensure resolution of any issues that arise
    • Collaborate with CG Supervisor, Department Leads, department production staff to ensure the complexity of work is consistent with critical assumptions and is falling within department budgets and schedules
    • Evaluate workload to ensure that quotas are realistic and achievable
    • Represent all departments in weekly executive production meetings
    • Act as champion of the project to crew, with a positive, approachable demeanor and attitude
    • Ensure that meetings and approvals are run according to studio standards

    Qualifications

    This will be your jam if you have:

    • 5+ years of production experience
    • Solid understanding of CG Animation or Visual Effects production
    • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the confidence to interact with all levels of employees and clients
    • Superior organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and to manage conflicting interests
    • Strong attention for detail
    • Experience with production management software system preferred, preferably Shotgun
    • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of performing well in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
    • Availability to work flexible hours on occasion to meet challenging deadlines
